SEASON 2
So, where
to begin? Gone
are Ian-Yates Cunningham and Gordie Sammis (though one or both may
certainly re-surface
SEASON 1 The first season of the Midnight Barbecue started filming in January of 2007, without a name, any sponsors, or even a station carrying it. All the show had was four friends with a desire to have a good time, and maybe convince someone to put it on the air. By the time the first season came to an end, six short months later, a cult phenomenon was raging in smalltown Charlottesville, Virginia, and, among the show's legions of 20-something followers, celebrity status had been endowed on not just the hosts, but such other personalities as Robert Coombs, Karaoke James, John "YouTube" Milko, Evil Beth, and, of course, "Big Time/William Hamburger" Charles Early. Season 1 of the Midnight Barbecue might not be, um, polished, by any standards. But it was a damn good time for all who were along for the ride. Season 1 was taped primarily in the Charlottesville Radio Group studios (specifically, 1070 AM WINA) and hosted by Adam Gottschalk, Nick Noe, Ian-Yates Cunningham, and Gordie Sammis. |
